Pastor’s Thoughts

2012-1

It’s hard to believe that we’re at the beginning of another New Year-2012.

Just a short 365 days ago we celebrated the start of 2011; never expecting what the year would bring.

While we may have desired a re-wind to begin anew; that is not possible.

Paul reminds us in Phil. 3:13 to forget the things that are behind and reach forward to the things which are ahead.”

None of us know the events, occurrences, or circumstances that will confront us in 2012. But we can be certain new challenges will surface and our faith will be tested again.

This I also know; the opportunities to serve and minister on behalf of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ will continue if not grow.

The “high-calling of God in Jesus Christ” is a never-ending race that will one day culminate in His eternal and everlasting Kingdom.

Until then we have work to do. People are hurting: mentally, emotionally, physically, and most importantly spiritually.

We’ve been called to be the “salt of the earth” and “light of the world”.

May our lights shine brightly in 2012 that in all things our Heavenly Father will be glorified.

Pastor Blaine
