Make A Difference

Have you ever had one of those days where you're feeling down or blah? Or perhaps you're having a good day, a normal typical day.

                    And then it happens.

You unexpectedly receive a card, a text, a call, a letter, someone smiles at you, someone holds the door for you, someone gifts you with the littlest of things...and all of a sudden your down day or your normal, typical day suddenly takes on a little sparkle .  Pastor Blaine has reminded us many times to reach out with an act of kindness to remind others that even though apart, we are still in each other's thoughts and prayers.

Acts of kindness are very important. In hindsight, how many times have we thought to send something or to tell someone how we feel, only to realize one day, that that opportunity is no longer there?  We must be ever mindful to prevent that from happening.  We must try and send out those little "sparkles" now!  If to say nothing else but, "Wishing you a great day."  Kindness does not have to take a lot of time, it does not have to be well planned out, and most importantly, it never goes out of style.  It only takes a spare minute here and there to turn someone else's day around.  Even if you yourself are feeling down, reach out to lift someone else up.  I promise you, this will uplift you too.  What could be better than putting a smile on someone's face?

So again, I am challenging you to reach out to another, a friend, neighbor, stranger, fellow church member. Perhaps send Pastor Blaine a card, just like the rest of us, I'm sure he could use some encouragement too! Let him know how much we appreciate him. I know he would really enjoy hearing from you! Here is his address if you would like to drop him a note:

"One of the most beautiful things we can do is to help another.  Kindness doesn't cost a thing."

*If you are wondering about addresses and/or phone numbers, please refer to the church directory. If you do not have one please feel free to contact Mary Zach, myself or anyone within the church and I am sure we can help you out.*

I know it's very easy to get caught up in our own world, but please make it a conscious choice to uplift others....it really does make a difference!

It's in the simplest of things
that we can show God's love....
