Grandma’s Jewelry 2.0

Here is Pastor Pritchett standing by the cross Beth Lueth made for the church. Beth has a Facebook page, “Grandma’s Jewelry 2.0,” where you can find her creations. Have your congregation contribute jewelry and Beth said she would make your church a cross.  If you are not on Facebook and would like to get in touch with Beth just send us an email at mraymonds@msn.com

Coming up December 17th

A reminder of the Church Board Meeting planned for the 17th, and ALSO, a reminder to bring a plate of your favorite cookies or candies that you enjoy making this time of year!  We will be sharing with members who can’t make it to church for the holidays.

Christmas Program

Today we thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Program, “The Voices of Angels” by Pastor Pritchett. Also included were videos and wonderful music. The following list is a few of the songs that were played. If you have a chance, look them up and listen to them as they are really beautiful.

*Be Born in Me, *Mary Did You Know, *Joseph’s Song, *When Love Was Born, and *Angels Among Us.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped in today’s program. We thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

Inspiring Project and Christmas Program

When the church purchased new Hymnals, we had several old ones free for the taking.  Phyllis Layman took one home and created something very special.  Isn’t it beautiful?!  Such a unique way to repurpose an old Hymnal.  Thank you for sharing this with us all Phyllis!

Reminders

The Annual Meeting will be January 21st.  Joan Tiemeyer would like relevant reports by the end of December.

Help share the joy of Christmas by participating in gift giving for local children.  Mindy has set up the Tree of Dreams and Phyllis Layman, the other Christmas tree, so that we may find presents or give monetary donations, to those in need of a burst of hope and love on Christmas day.

Remember to sign up for serving treats at Fellowship!

After the first of the year, we will be celebrating birthdays with a potluck early in each month.

Confirmation Part 2

The Church just purchased new Hymnals and the girls surprised their Sunday School teacher, Mary Zach, with a Hymnal they had purchased in her honor.

As you can imagine, Mary was very touched as they all hold a very special place in her heart. Mary has been their Sunday School teacher since they were just wee little ones, Grace being her granddaughter as well.

We all enjoyed a piece of this very pretty cake along with some ice cream.

The tables were dressed with pink tablecloths and adorned with these gorgeous centerpieces done by Mary Zach. She mentioned the glassware belonged to her husband’s mother, Grace.  What a special addition to a special day!

The Percival Church will continue to pray for and support Karlee, Macey, Grace and Skylar in their continual journey of faith.

Confirmation Part 1

*Due to high picture volume, this post will be done in 2 parts.*

Today we had four candidates come forward, to acknowledge and affirm their faith in Jesus Christ.

-Karlee Graham, Macey Graham, Grace Zach and Skyler Pritchett

Pastor Blaine- “As members of the Percival Church family, each of us here today come from different faith journeys and experiences.  We gather to give witness and our full support to Karlee, Macey, Grace and Skylar.  Through prayer, teaching, studying, and faith they have been led by the Holy Spirit to declare their own personal decision to follow Jesus Christ, and to enter into the life of the church.  Their desire is to serve Him, follow Him and to live unto Him using the gifts which the Holy Spirit has bestowed.”

A slide show was presented, created by Mary Zach, filled with the many memories of past Christmas programs and church events.

Pastor Blaine had questions for the candidates and Board President Jan Zach had questions for the congregation.
