"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire; it is the time for home." ~ Edith Sitwell

When I think of winter, not only do I think of cold but I also think of warmth, a time to cozy up with a good book or a favorite devotional.  A time for renewing your spirit as you begin the new year ahead. What does winter mean to you? ~ Mindy

 As a kid I remember writing poems just for fun. Haven't done it for years but as I was thinking about the coming new year, the kid in me decided to give it a try...

Happy New Year

As the new year begins with hope and with promise
and the old one is left behind,
we must never forget the paths we have taken
that has led us to this time.
We've encountered so much, the happy, the sad,
the lessons and blessings for which we've all had.
As we continue our journey into the new year,
bundled with faith and loaded with care,
let us always remember
it is LOVE we must share.

  ~ Mindy Raymond
