 Blessings

Look at this picture and tell me what you see.  I'll even narrow it down for you.  What do you see in the basket?  Did you guess flowers? If you did, you guessed wrong.  Perhaps I should say your not seeing what you think you are seeing.  What you are actually seeing are what appear to be flowers but in reality they are pine cones painted to look like flowers.  Aren't they beautiful just the same?!  Whether they were real, artificial or in this case, not flowers at all, they did bring much joy to me. It brought to mind, "Find joy in what is." These were made by a talented friend by the way.  ~Mindy

 Hey my friends -
What a beautiful day this is. This week I've been thinking about those religious leaders who set Jesus up for his crucifixion and how they felt afterwards when he kept showing up to different people.

Our song this week is by Natalie Grant & Cory Asbury "You Will Be Found".

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Long before the flower bloomed, it was planted in the darkness.  We too, have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world.

Today's Hymns:

"In the Garden" by Alan Jackson

Responsive Reading: Luke 10:28-41

Hello my friends,

Mother's Day, a day we honor the ladies who've had an influence on our lives.  Who've pointed us in a direction to be better.  We start with breakfast at 9:00.  Our song is "Truth Be Told" because how many times have our moms pushed through and did the job because they were "the mom"?  I know my mom did.  Let's celebrate this morning.

Thought I would share pictures this morning of the progress of the new Hamburg Inn and Suites.  Not sure of the opening date but thought to be in June.  It will be a nice place to stay should you pass this way.

Thought I would share another picture that I feel captures life here in Iowa.  This was taken by Judy Holliman one evening with the beautiful view she has from her home looking out over the land and the "Nish".    Thanks Judy for sharing!
