As we mentioned last week, the church board voted to accept Donna Miller as our new Pastor.  Since the flood, pandemic, and Pastor Pritchett having to step down due to health reasons, we just got back into our church for worship, Sunday, July 11th.

During the flood, many knew Donna as Major Donna with the Salvation Army.  Come join us for worship Sunday mornings at 10:00.

Birthday greetings to Wava Shipley on the 27th, and DJ Graham on the 28th!

Congratulations and many blessings to newlyweds Aaron and Makayla!

Sunday Blessings!

"We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade the presence of God.  The world is crowded with Him."  ~ C. S. Lewis

I have a bed of wildflowers that are blooming beautifully.  I took this picture one evening as I was admiring them.  Looking at the photo I instantly saw the little evening sun ray shining down and it reminded me of the saying, "Sometimes I just look up, smile and say, I know that was you God."   I seem to be in the season of my life where I'm noticing, almost for the first time it seems, the everyday beauty and miracles that surround me. I have a new found love for flowers.  I mean how many times in my life have I planted flowers. Yes, I would look at them, admire them and think they were pretty.  But now I REALLY see them.  They're not just pretty, they are beautifully and intricately made and the evening sun shining down on them is just as breath taking as the morning sun coming out and highlighting the treetops. It makes me wonder how many things have I missed truly seeing.  Recognizing all the intricate details of even the simplest of things.  God's handiwork is everywhere.... rainbows, sunrises, sunsets, stars, flowers, landscapes, snowflakes, the list is endless. ~ Mindy

July 17-18
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, you might want to check out the Fremont County Fair!

Last Sunday, the church board voted to accept Donna Miller as our new pastor.  We will have services every Sunday at 10:00.
Since we will be getting together in person, I will not be sending weekly messages on our group text. If you have an emergency prayer request, we can still get the message out on the group text and the phone tree. I may send other announcements from time to time the same way.  Mindy is planning on continuing the church blog as she did before the pandemic. I know she appreciates any contributions you can give her for the blog.

Today, July 17th, is my son, Aaron's birthday! A week from today, he and Makayla will get married! We are so happy for them! Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this  very exciting, but stressful week.

Happy Anniversary to DJ and Crystal on the 19th!

Birthday greetings to Babe McCown, Betty Booker, and Donna Glenn on the 24th, Wava on the 27th, and DJ on the 28th!

I have enjoyed posting videos and information for the blog and the group text messages during the pandemic. I hope they have been helpful and meaningful for you.
Best wishes to you,
Mary

I found this daily devotional prayer by Rosemary Hagedom that goes right along with my header picture...

Father, everywhere we go, we see Your handiwork: in the sunrise, in the sunset, and the art work on the seashore created by the rolling waves.  We see Your handiwork in the tiny snowflakes and the ice formations on a window pane.  Thank you for showing us in Your word that you are with us always.  Amen.

Enjoy your week paying special attention to God's handiwork that surrounds us daily.

Sunday Blessings!

Bless me with a calm center in the storms of my life.  ~  Mary Davis

July 10-11
I hope everyone is OK following Friday night's horrible wind storm. Jan says Percival looks like a war zone with many trees and branches down. Our power is still out.  Diane Handy's brother, Don McCown, lost the roof of this shop in Percival (the old school auditorium).

Remember this morning, July 11, is the day to come to church at 10:00 to meet Major Donna and hear her preach. Be part of the decision making process for our church.

A message from Beth Lueth, "Mom is much better. Prayers help. Mama Mia opens the 15th in Shenandoah. Lacey is in it."

A celebration of life for Evelyn Birkby will be next Sunday, July 18, at 1:30 at the Gathering Place in Sidney.

Happy Birthday to Phyllis Greedy and Macey Graham on the 12th, Barb Handy on the 13th, and Aaron Zach on the 17th.

The videos this week are hymns performed by Taryn Harbridge on the violin.

Sunday Blessings on this 4th of July weekend!

Blessed Is The Nation Whose God Is The Lord.    Psalm 33:12

July 3-4
I hope you are enjoying some special times with family and friends this weekend as we celebrate our country's independence.

It was very nice to see so many of you at the church meeting last Sunday. Barb Handy told us Major Donna is extremely interested in serving as our pastor. The congregation voted to invite her to our church on July 11 at 10:00. She will visit with us and give a sermon. We hope you will be able to come and help decide if she is the right pastor for us.

Happy Birthday to Rosemary and Crystal today, July 3rd, Beth tomorrow on the 4th, JoAnn on the 7th, and Mindy on the 8th! Wow! That's a lot of celebrating!

Please include these people in your prayers:
Mary Kellogg, Mel, Judy McElroy, Larry Warren, Brian and Kelly, the family and friends of Bill Allen.

The videos this week are a salute to our country.  ~Mary
