 "Fill My Cup, Lord"

              By Jessy Dixon

Here are the lyrics to today's special music:

Like the woman at the well
I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy
And then I heard my Savior speaking
"Draw from My well that never shall run dry"
Fill my cup, Lord
I lift it up, Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul
Bread of Heaven, feed me 'til I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole
There are millions in this world
Who are craving
The pleasures, earthly things of gold
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord
Fill my cup, Lord
I lift it up, Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul
Bread of Heaven, feed me 'til I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole
Here's my cup, fill it up and make me whole

When you see a glass that is halfway, do you see it half full or half empty? I will tell you what I see, I see a glass that is half full. Then, I thank God for quenching my thirst and I continue to count my blessings. For you see, I have faith, a family and a roof over my head. That is more than many others might have, for some are hungry, homeless and lost. You might have loved ones that are very ill, but count your blessings for the good times. You might have loved ones that have died, but be grateful for the memories. Thank God for what you have and be grateful! Count your blessings, be grateful, do right. With God all things are possible. Thank you God for everything.

Percy's Tidbit

Begin looking at everything as if you are seeing it for the first time. Most likely you will realize you truly are seeing it for the first time.

*****************************************************************************

I know I've mentioned many times how I find the beauty of flowers so breathtaking. Everything in nature truly, is beautiful. As I get older I see and appreciate it so much more.  I always try to convey how important it is to see the beauty all around. I guess because I'm discovering it as if for the first time, I want everyone else to notice it too.  Unfortunately I never really was gifted when it comes to words. I even tried to reiterate my thoughts in today's Percy's Tidbit, but still feel I fall short.  Then, this happened....

I was going though some old books deciding which ones to part with and which ones to keep.  I came across this book I remembered  buying at (yes, once again, a thrift store.)  I was flipping through the pages since I had never yet read the book and stumbled upon this page:

 Wow, my thoughts exactly.

*The book is entitled "Reflections of Madison County." A visual journey. Mark F. Heffron .  Full of beautiful photos and poetry, of which I will now be reading.

Wishing you a great week!  May we recognize the beauty in every good blessing.
