Good morning everyone. First of all we would like to share the following message from Pastor Blaine. 

Let us all continue to uplift Pastor Blaine and Dale in prayer. May they continue to feel the love, prayers and support from us all and may the healing power of God's love be with them.

Prayer requests for August 30th

Pray for all  the members of our church, Pastor Blaine and Dale, Rhonda Shirley, Sydney Wertz, Nancy's sister Sandra, Diane Handy, Babe McCown, Mindy's friend Teresa Spidell.
Pray for Jo Ann Birkby's stepmother's grandson, Zach Freman and his family.  Zach is only in his 20's and he is in hospice because of brain cancer.
Pray for the victims of Hurricane Laura.
Pray for peace in our country and wisdom as we choose our elected leaders.

Happy Anniversary to Rob and Diane on August 30th!

  Prayer Requests for August 23

Pray for all the members of our church, Pastor Blaine, Rhonda Shirley, Sydney Wertz, Nancy's sister Sandra.
Pray for Diane Handy and Babe McCown.  Both are doing better.  Babe will be in the Nebraska City hospital for several days.
Pray for Mary, Penny's brother, Denny Snapp.  He is hospitalized following a fall.  His wife recently passed away.
Pray for Mindy's friend/classmate Teresa Spidell who is in the hospital fighting very serious health issues. 
Give prayers of thanks for Jim Glenn! His skin graft surgery went well!  They no longer need to make daily trips to Lincoln for treatments.
Pray for the safety and health for all the students, teachers, and staff who are returning to school this week.
Pray for the people involved with the wildfires in California.
Pray for Iowans who were devastated by the derecho.  Nancy Newlon, the mission chairman, will be sending a monetary donation.  There is a trailer at the Bethel Church in Nebraska City where you can donate nonperishable items until August 26 (9am-noon, 5 to 6:30 pm).

Prayer requests for August 16
Pray for Pastor Blaine and all the members of our church.
Pray for Diane Handy. She was in the hospital with severe sepsis.
She is recovering at home now.
Pray for Rhonda Shirley.
Pray for Nancy Newlon's sister, Sandra.
Pray for our country, including government officials and people running for office.

Sunday, August 9th 2020

 Starting this week, we will not be providing a complete service each Sunday. You can still follow the service order we have provided earlier.  Mary will choose several new music videos for each Sunday. She will also take prayer requests that will be posted.  Mindy will continue to post information on the blog.  

Prayer requests for all the members of our congregation, Pastor Blaine, Rhonda Shirley, Sydney Wertz, and Nancy Newlon's sister, Sandra, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Prayers also for Aaron Zach. He and his girlfriend were in a wreck Saturday, Aug. 8th. They are ok but his truck is totaled.

We want to thank Nancy Newlon for taking care of the landscaping in front of the church and DJ Graham for mowing the lawn this summer. It looks very nice.

Birthday greetings this week to Terry Gunderson, Jake and Wyatt Burge, and Ellie Warren.

The first two videos this week feature a family singing group called "Sounds Like Reign."  They have numerous songs on YouTube along with videos about their family life called "Tiny Notes from Home."  Check it out!  Click on the links to listen.

The church received a thank you card from the family of Sydney Wertz. Sydney and her family live in the Riverton area and Betty Booker had suggested Sydney as a mission.  The Board voted to send the Wertz family a donation. On Thursday, August 6, Sandy Booker shared the latest update on Sydney.
"The breathing tube is out, she's on the healing path and is resting well with Elmo keeping watch over her!!!!!"
Thanks to Betty and Sandy for suggesting this local mission.

9:50 Pray for all the members of the Percival Church, especially Pastor Blaine. Pray for the Sidney School. A second grade teacher, Ms. Fry, passed away. Then a student, Zachary Shelly, died as a result of a car accident near Hamburg. Pray for their families. Pray that all of us will stay healthy as the number of cases of Covid is rising in Fremont County. Continue to pray for Sydney Wertz. She is resting comfortably following heart surgery. Birthday blessings this week to Rob Handy, Zane Burge, Joan Tiemeyer, and Sandy Booker. Anniversary blessings this week to Pastor Blaine and Dale.
