"If you love summer, August gives you time to make the most of it.  If you're tired of summer, rest assured that the cool days of fall are arriving soon."  ~unknown

 Good Morning!

 Today's Sermon:  Melchizedek...Christ

 Today's Hymns:

All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

  Holy, Holy, Holy

Responsive Reading:  Genesis  14:18, Hebrews 8

Special Music:  "Jesus Does" by We the Kingdom

 Jesus Does

Who tells the sun to rise every morning

Colors the sky with the shades of His glory

Wakes us with mercy and love? Jesus does

Who holds the orphan, comforts the widow

Cries for injustice, feels every sorrow

Carries the pain of His children? Jesus Does

 Chorus:

So we sing

Praise to the Father who gave us the Son

Praise to the Spirit who's living in us

Interlude: When I was a sinner He saved me

From who I was 'cause that's what Jesus does

Who understands the heart of the sinner

Showers His grace over all our mistakes

Washes us clean with His blood, Jesus does

Who sings the song of sweet forgiveness

Who stole the keys to hell and the grave

Who has the power to save, Jesus does

 Chorus, Interlude

Oh what a Friend, Oh what a Savior

He's always been good, He's always been faithful

He came to my rescue when I needed him most

 And saved my soul

 Chorus

When I was a sinner He saved me from who I was

 Chorus

When I was a sinner He saved me from who I was (Oh I know) that's what Jesus does (2x)

  Because He Lives

  Benediction:  Lamentations 3:21-25

Percy's Tidbit......a little humor this morning

Me yelling at squirrels in the street to move so they don't die is probably the same feeling God has watching me live my life most days.   :)

Thankful for His patience and love on our not so good days.

I love pictures!  Pictures have a way of placing you back in "remembered moments."  Sights, smells, sounds, nature, animals, all the feels.  Pictures allow us to recall life and all that it entails.

Thought it would be fun to close each week with little "snippets" of life that will perhaps spark a memory or at the very least bring a smile.

*I do not own the pictures.

 Have a great week

 Blessings!

I just had to share this picture. Love it.  I'm not sure whose picture it is as I can't see the complete name on the photo.  It's just so comforting to look at because it reminds us that no matter how many times we veer off the path, guess who knows we are lost and will come find us.   And......just look at that sweet little one   :)

Today's Sermon:  "Noah...Christ"

Today's Hymns:

Trust and Obey

What A Friend We Have in Jesus

Responsive Reading Gen. 8:15 to 9:17

Special Music:  "Nobody" by Casting Crowns

 "Nobody" by Casting Crowns lyrics

Why You ever chose me has always been a mystery

All my life I've been told I belong at the end of the line

With all the other not-quites, with all the never-get-it-rights

But it turns out they're the ones,

You were looking for all this time

 Chorus:

’Cause I'm just a nobody, trying to tell everybody

All about Somebody who saved my soul

 Ever since You rescued me

You gave my heart a song to sing

Interlude: I’m living for the world to see nobody but Jesus(2x)

 Moses had stage fright

When David brought a rock to a sword fight

You picked twelve outsiders nobody would have chosen

 And You changed the world

Well the moral of the story is everybody's got a purpose

So when I hear that devil start talking to me saying

"Who do you think you are?”, I say

 Chorus Interlude (2x)

So let me go down, down, down in history

As another blood-bought faithful member of a family

And if they all forget my name, well that's fine with me

I'm living for the world to see nobody but Jesus (2x)

 Chorus Interlude (3x

God Will Take Care of You

Benediction:  Lamentations 3:21-25

"Life is full of surprises.  When your day is wonderful, cherish it.  When it becomes difficult, stay strong.  There are no guarantees on how many days you have left so be grateful for each and every one of them.
