Hymn #695 "My Country, 'Tis of Thee"

Praise and Prayer

Responsive Reading: Ephesians 6:10-19

  The Armor of God
Leader: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

All: 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your
stand against the devil’s schemes.

Leader: 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this
dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms.

All: 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the
day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after
you have done everything, to stand.

Leader: 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around
your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

All: 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes
from the gospel of peace.

Leader: 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

All: 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.

Leader: 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the Lord’s people.

All: 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be
given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the
gospel…

 Did You Know?

I was "today" years old when I discovered a heart in one of our church windows.  I was sitting in my car enjoying the beauty of the stained glass when suddenly I saw a heart staring back at me bringing to mind the song - "Jesus Loves me this I know, for the Bible (and window😉) tells me so."

Here's a couple of pictures of the window.  The first picture is for you to see if you can find it.

In the second picture, I've outlined the heart. ~Mindy

 After uploading the picture I've since discovered another little heart to which the arrow is pointing. Maybe it's a bonus heart for finding the big heart? 😊 Either way, I'm gonna take both hearts as a God wink!

Hymn #325 “All Hail The Power

Tithes and Offerings

Doxology

Hymn #71 “Faith Is The Victory

Praise and Prayer

Responsive Reading: Malachi 3:6-15

Breaking Covenant by Withholding Tithes

Leader: 6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of
Jacob, are not destroyed.

All: 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned
away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me,
and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty.
“But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’

Leader: 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings.

All: 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you
are robbing me.

Leader: 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there
may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord
Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of
heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be
room enough to store it.

All: 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the
vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says
the Lord Almighty.

Leader: 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours
will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
Israel Speaks Arrogantly Against God

All: 13 “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord.
“Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’

Leader: 14 “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we
gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like
mourners before the Lord Almighty?

All: 15 But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers
prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it."

Hymn  “Blessed Assurance

Praise and Prayer

Responsive Reading: 1 Samuel 2:1-11

 1 Then Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the Lord;
in the Lord my horn[a] is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies,
for I delight in your deliverance.

2 “There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.

3 “Do not keep talking so proudly
or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the Lord is a God who knows,
and by him deeds are weighed.

4 “The bows of the warriors are broken,
but those who stumbled are armed with strength.

5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
but those who were hungry are hungry no more.
She who was barren has borne seven children,
but she who has had many sons pines away.

6 “The Lord brings death and makes alive;
he brings down to the grave and raises up.

7 The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts.

8 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honor.
“For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;
on them he has set the world.

9 He will guard the feet of his faithful servants,
but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.
“It is not by strength that one prevails;

10 those who oppose the Lord will be broken.
The Most High will thunder from heaven;
the Lord will judge the ends of the earth.
“He will give strength to his king
and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

11 Then Elkanah went home to Ramah, but the boy
ministered before the Lord under Eli the priest.
