 Blessings

In the quiet corners of creation, where sunlight filters through green leaves and the earth cradles its secrets, this flower blooms. It does not toil or speak, yet its presence sings a silent hymn. To look upon it is to be reminded: miracles are not only found in grand moments, but in the humble splendor of a flower growing where no one thought to look--alive, radiant, and full of God's gentle glory.

Welcome June and your beautiful blooms!

Hymn #601, “Savior Like A Shepherd Lead Us

Offering and Doxology

Hymn #598, “All The Way My Savior Leads Me

Praise and Prayers

Responsive Reading: Isaiah 6:1-8

6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted,
seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.

3 And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook
and the temple was filled with smoke.

5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips,
and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the
King, the Lord Almighty.”

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand,
which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your
lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Call to Worship and Prayer - Chronicles 7:14-16

Hymn #687, “God Of Our Fathers

Offering and Doxology

Hymn #692, “Battle Hymn Of The Republic

Praise and Prayers

Responsive Reading: Jeremiah 29:4-14

4 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I
carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

5 “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.

6 Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.

7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.

9 They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord.

10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for
Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

I wanted to share this photo with you.  The morning of Mother's Day I walked into the other room which was still dark but the morning light was just starting to enter.  What was so neat about it was the light was shining only on the blossoms, no where else in the room.  The light was so bright it was illuminating them like a light bulb. They were literally glowing!  It was the neatest thing. I had never seen anything like it.  I'm so glad I had my phone to capture it. ~Mindy

Call to Worship and Prayer - Matthew 13:44-46

Hymn #240, “Fairest Lord Jesus

Offering and Doxology

Praise and Prayers

Responsive Reading: Matthew 13:36-43
The Parable of the Weeds Explained

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the
field.”
37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,
39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.
42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.

We had a very nice Mother's Day service last week.  It began with the men preparing us a wonderful breakfast before church.
Thank you guys, it was great!

Pastor Donna then surprised us with some very pretty flowers, Verbenas.  We each got to take some home with us.
Thank you Pastor Donna!

And to start the service, Ezra gave the call to Worship and Prayer.
Thank you  Ezra!

While visiting Joan T. the other day, I witnessed a very persistent visitor at her house.  She said it comes quite often and either hits the window or peeks in her door, usually both. I caught it peeking in the door while I was there and managed to get a picture...

A red  tanagers.  And despite it's persistency, it was a pretty bird. I don't know if it was a male or female. I didn't even know there was a bird by that name. 😊   -Mindy
