Memorial Ceremony

A special memorial ceremony was held at our church during the service on Sunday, May 28. A candle was lit in honor of all the men and women of the armed forces that have died for our freedom. Mary Lou Sherwood shared a reading from the American Legion Auxiliary. Then candles were lit in memory of the three members of our congregation who have passed away since last Memorial Day. They are Betty Jeck, Carol Akins, and Jim Layman. Following a moment of silence, everyone in the congregation lit a candle in remembrance of their loved ones.

Mother’s Day

We had a nice Mother’s Day Brunch served by the men.  The tables were decorated very pretty and the food was delicious!

This Morning’s Worship Service

The Confirmation class conducted the worship service on March 26, 2017.  The members of the class are Grace Zach, Karlee Graham, Macey Graham, and Madison Hammons.  The theme of the service was the Triune God.  The service opened with an interpretative dance set to the hymn, "To God Be the Glory".  Then Madison sang a solo, "Jesus, Take the Wheel".  Macey, Karlee, and Grace presented slideshows set to music about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  The service closed with Grace's solo, "Let There Be Peace on Earth".  We all want to thank the girls for this very inspirational service.

Nice Day Nice Deed

What can you do on a nice unusually warm February day?  Well…you vacuum the leaves out of the flower beds at the church!  Thank you Charlie Bohlen!!
