To God’s Glory Ministry

The church received a message from Don Baker, founder of “To God’s Glory Ministry” thanking us for our recent donation and giving us a little update on their mission in Uganda.

Don said the days are always busy there and the ministry continues on with all of the projects. They just finished providing well#2 to another rural community that was in great need of clean drinkable water. Their water source was a open hole in a swamp area. They had never had a well. The nearest well was mile and half away. Long distance to carry enough water for homes when walking is the only option.

To God’s Glory is a registered 501c3, Non-Profit Organization founded in 2015 to help the impoverished and needy people in Uganda and currently operating in Jinja, Uganda and neighboring districts.  To read more about this mission and it’s objectives, visit their website,  www.togodsgloryministry.org

A lot of work goes into making a barn quilt. The congregation was asked to submit quilt ideas and then voted on their favorite. Jan, Mary and Beth got us going and several took their turn at painting. You will have to keep watching for the end result!

We listened to the song (click on the following link to listen to song) “I Can Only Imagine” a single recorded by Christian rock band Mercy Me. Written and composed by lead vocalist Bart Millard.  Such a beautiful song!

Thank you to Mary Zach for planning the service this morning and to everyone who shared photos and precious memories of their loved ones.
