Percival held its Clean Up Days from the Flood of 2019 on July 26-
27. Volunteers from Percival, the surrounding area, and literally all
over the country converged to help clean up the park and yards around town.
Members of our congregation focused on cleaning up the landscaping
in front of the church and the large grass area behind the church. We
were happy to see the cross barn quilt that we made last year survived
unscathed. The day lilies were a sign that life goes on, as they were blooming
amidst all the devastation.
Lunch was served in our church dining room both days. The
meals were prepared by various members of the community and the Salvation
Army. Snacks and bottled water were provided throughout the day.
It was an extremely productive two days. It is amazing what
can be accomplished when everyone works together. A huge thank you goes
out to all the volunteers!
