Good Morning!
February
6-7
Hopefully everyone is able to stay inside and stay warm during this very cold
week. Continue to pray for the health and safety of all our members and Danny
Pritchett. Prayers for Laurie McEntarffer and to her family, her son Shawn, passed away this week. He was a classmate of Loralee, Kristin, and Kelly. Continue to pray for Larry Moyer. I am happy to let you know Kris Handy was able to go home
yesterday! Her left side is still not working, so she will need our prayers as
she adjusts to life on her own and working at home.
Happy Birthday to Brian Johnson on the 9th!
I discovered the Fountainview Academy choir and orchestra as I was searching
through YouTube videos. They are a very talented group of young men and women.
They have many more hymn videos on YouTube that you might want to check out. ~ Mary
What A Friend We Have In Jesus
********************************************************
This morning we have a note from Mel and Nancy to share, so good to hear from them!
Hello Iowa and Nebraska friends from Mel and Nancy in Arizona. We've been here 1 1/2 years. After and long and varied search (about 7 churches) we joined an ELCA Lutheran church. Nancy misses the closeness of Percival as this church has a population from 900 to 1500 depending on the snowbirds. The minister does 5 services each week. Saturdays there are two country music services which we now watch from our recliners at home. Sunday there is a traditional worship, a blended service and a contemporary service. Since the pandemic many church activities are halted. Mel plays golf 3 days a week and Nancy does Zumba 2 days a week. Sometimes it seems a lot of our trips are to medical appointments or grocery shopping. We have our Hamburg friends the Sheldons, who live across the street and we visit with face masks from afar. The community is very friendly and we count our blessings every day.

My dining room table seems to be the landing spot when I am working on a project whether it be crafts, book work or whatever. Jasper always has to be right there in the middle of it all. AND if there is one thing that Jasper is, it is photogenic. It's like he posed himself with the Valentine bird to the left and the pretty pink tulips to the right. I don't think I could have posed him any better myself! He always seems to want to be included when I am working on the church blog.
As you may recall, here is some of his past work on the Percival Church Blog.
I really do believe he enjoys it. ~Mindy

Looking through past photos of church
and church gatherings, I thought it might be nice to share one or two
every Sunday, calling it, "Captured Moments from the Past."
Here's today's captured moments...

Percy's Tidbit
We need to let go of the deluded belief that if we worry about something enough, it will resolve itself.
Worry says, "I'm in control. I can fix this somehow with enough effort."
Prayer says, "I can't do this alone. I need you God. You're in control."
