 Sunday Blessings!

This Valentine's Day and every day........

"Spread love everywhere you go.  Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."  ~ Mother Teresa

About picture:  I remember my school days, makingValentine boxes and preparing valentines to exchange with friends,  bringing them home and reading them over and over.....such fun memories!  Now, when I think of making valentines, I gather up items that speak Valentine's Day to me such as lace and hearts, then I throw in a few sentimental pieces... an old door knob from family farmhouse, a key to grandma and grandpa's old front door, grandma's sewing thimble. Old scissors, an ornamental corner door moulding, cloth tape measure and a pearl heart pin complete the picture.  Yes, I am a lover of old things.  How about you?  ~ Mindy

Random Acts of Kindness Day is Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Random Acts of Kindness Week is February 13-19, 2022.

Acts of Kindness can be many things. Not only can we give tangible gifts but we can also give the gifts of time, a helping hand, a smile, volunteering a service, a hug, a compliment, when someone has made a difference in your life, share that with them.  And perhaps one of the greatest gifts of kindness we can do, one that we don't even have to leave the comfort of home to accomplish would be.....When someone crosses your mind, bless them, say a prayer for them.  Not only for dear friends and loved ones but let us also pray, as Jesus would have us do, for those that have hurt us or upset us.

 Matthew 5:43-45

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in Heaven.

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown

Remember during this Act of Kindness week, make it a goal to show kindness each day and every day after that. Together we can do it, we can help make the world a better place one little itty bitty step at a time.
