Sunday Blessings
Last Sunday brought to mind this picture I had once taken. You'll see why further down the post.
Tidying up. Just as we clean our homes and the spaces around us, we need to remember to also declutter and tidy up our mind, body and soul. Visually sweeping away all the everyday distractions that tend to wear us down, clearing and focusing our minds on what is really important in our lives. Growing up, when it came to my worries, grandma and mama use to say, "sweep them off the porch!" ~ Mindy
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

A Couple of Shares this morning....
Had to share a little about last Sunday. It all started when I first pulled in to church. A big smile immediately appeared on my face. Jerry and Nancy were out front doing a little hoeing and weed treating. I'm fondly referring to it as....Workin' before Churchin'. Tidying up and addressing those weeds before heading on in to worship.Gotta love it! As I mentioned earlier, Pastor Donna was under the weather and unable to attend so we lifted her up in prayer and proceeded with the service as best we knew how. Sang our Hymns and praised the Lord. Sharing our thoughts, joys, prayers and concerns. In numbers we are few but the fellowship and support is plentiful.

Also wanted to share this news clip from KMTV 3 about Mulholland Grocery in Malvern, that was lost in a fire last December. Click HERE to watch.
We can only imagine what a emotional and trying time it as been for owner Tom Mulholland since the loss of his family business. Let us remember in prayer Tom and the town of Malvern as they seek to rebuild this special piece of history within their town.

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown

One more thing.....
I would like to take a moment today to say thank you to my friends at Percival Community Church for allowing me to share little pieces of our church and its people and the occasional news or events happening in and around our community. I really do feel blessed to be a part of it all. I also want to say thank you for the kind words spoken last week. Truly heartwarming and sincerely felt. <3

Have a good week. Now grab that broom, sweep those worries off the porch and give them to the Lord! :)

Isn't it wonderful what good things are shared by those who love and watch us grow into what we need to become with their wisdom shared. My dust pan gets pretty full some days so good day to remember this piece you shared.
