"This is my Father's World, O! Let me never forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet." ~ Maltbie D. Babcock 1858-1901

Wanted to share what I like to think of as a "God Wink" moment with you all.

I was scrolling through Facebook Saturday morning and saw where my Aunt posted the Hymn and lyrics to, "This is My Father's World."  I realized I hadn't sung it in quite some time, so with the words in front of me, I proceeded to sing it, thinking of how I have missed singing it and after having a trying week, hearing, "though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet" was something I really needed to hear. Later in the morning, I began working on the blog for Sunday's post and there in the list of Hymns to sing was the song,  "This is My Father's World."  Coincidence? I'm choosing to think not. So thankful for those little out of the blue reminders that He is still with us even when we don't feel it. That's what picks us up and gets us through, isn't it? ~ Mindy

I came across this church and information about it on Instagram account @jlmreisch.  All churches come with a story and history but we often just see a picture not knowing their history so it's interesting when you come across a little information to go along with these beautiful, irreplaceable houses of worship.

 Blessings

"How will you seek peace today?  Each day can be a day of beauty, joy, and growth.  Even as the struggles come our way, allow yourself to see more.  In the midst of difficulty, the flowers are still blooming.  In the midst of struggle, your body still requires a delicious meal.  In the midst of hardship, love still surrounds you."  (Sharing words that spoke to me this week from the Instagram account   @tashatudorandfamily )

Tasha Tudor (1915-2008), a prolific children’s book illustrator who published over 100 books during her lifetime, remains well known for her books as well as her early American 1830s New England lifestyle and the pleasures of a simple life. ~ Jeanette Chandler Knazek

When you have the time look up and read about Tasha Tudor.  She was a very inspirational woman.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

I Love To Tell the Story

Special Music:  "Desiderata" by Max Ehrmann

Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. by Max Ehrmann ©1927

There's hope in front of me, there's a light, I still see it.  There's a hand still holding me, even when I don't believe it.  Even after all I've seen, there's hope in front of me.  I still have hope. YOU are my hope. ~ lyrics taken from today's special music, "Hope in front of me" by Danny Gokey.

*************************************************************************************

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.   ~ Matthew 6:25-34
