Blessings
This pretty Hollyhock is brought to you this morning from the home of Don and Wava. Quite a few of them have given in to the heat but this one refused to give up and chose to stand tall. Thanks little hollyhock for our little reminder that we, as well, should do the same.

My dear friends-
I pray all of you are taking care of you in this oppressive heat.
This Sunday we're going to start a new series "Christ in the Old Testament" how specific individuals were forerunners of Jesus.
Our song this week is "How Can You Not" she was having a conversation with someone about nature and he said "how can someone not believe in God when they see this? So Leanna wrote this song.
See you Sunday

Last Sunday was our Singspiration and Pie Social which made for a very enjoyable time! There was quite the selection of yummy pies available for our sampling and some ice cream for those who wished to top it off. We were content in the knowledge that being Sunday, all sugar and calories were simply nonexistent. (Surely that's written law somewhere?!) :)
Behold......
Everyone mentioned how much they enjoyed singing many of their favorite hymns. We also had a fun little drawing (where everyone won) a package, each with a pie quote and a little somethin' somethin'
Good times... good memories... great friends.

things that gold can't buy, so let's
have another cup of coffee and let's
have another piece of pie."

Wava and Don also had some pretty zinnias to share....

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown

I love pictures! Pictures have a way of placing you back in "remembered moments." Sights, smells, sounds, nature, animals, all the feels. Pictures allow us to recall life and all that it entails.
Thought it would be fun to close each week with little "snippets" of life that will perhaps spark a memory or at the very least bring a smile.
*I do not own the pictures.
Have a great week
