 Blessings

February is the month of love, although our whole lives should be about love.

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,  it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Let us welcome February and take every chance to show love to all we meet.

"We may never know what results come from our actions, but if we do nothing, there will be no results."  ~Mahatma Gandhi

February Birthdays:  Jan Zach on the 3rd,  Brian Johnson on the 9th, and Mike Shipley on the 17th.

Good Morning everyone!  January has given us a few little hiccups.  If you'll remember, Sunday, January 22, church was cancelled due to the weather.  Then last Sunday, January 29th, Pastor Donna was not feeling well.  So, this Sunday, February 5, the original postponed service will once again be referred back to.  Revisit the January 22, post for service details.  Meanwhile, let's take a look at what's ahead...

LOOKING AHEAD TO.....

Valentine's Day,  Tuesday, February 14th

Let it be known, there is no age limit to sending Valentines!  When you give a Valentine, you are giving a gift of love, whether it be for family, spouse or friends.  Let the important people in your life know just how precious they are!

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY is Friday, February 17th.

Another day to set aside to show love and compassion for someone, even for someone you don't know or may never even meet.  You might be wondering, "How do I do an act of kindness for someone I may never meet?"  This is the fun part, knowing you have the capability to possibly put a smile on someone's face, maybe be the highlight of their day, simply by putting forth a little effort and having fun while doing it.  Here's how....  Grab some paper.  Any kind of paper, plain, pretty scrap book paper, maybe add stamps, stickers, ribbon, etc.  and write an uplifting message on it.  For example,   "Have a great day"   "Your are doing great"   "know you are loved"  "It will be ok"   " Just do your best, that's all you can do"     Any uplifting message you wish to share!  Make several, carry them with you in a pocket, a purse, your car, wherever.  And when you go to the grocery store,  put it on the shelf, maybe next to the ketchup bottle!  When you go to the Library, put it in a book that someone will be checking out and find. When you go in any store, leave behind an uplifting message for someone to find!  No one will know or realize you did unless you tell them, and by leaving these little messages behind, someone will smile because of you and your heart will smile for the joy you gave away!  How awesome is that?!   Of course, you don't have to remain anonymous as you know, there are so many ways to show an act of kindness.

Be a friend, celebrate important days, do volunteer work, let someone go ahead of you in line, donate to a good cause, bake cookies for someone, hold the door open,  and the list goes on....

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown

All can comprehend that a man is praying when he kneels down...but all cannot understand that the highest prayer or communion with God is a life of love. ~ Frederick W. Robertson
