Monday, May 1st is May Day.  I hope there are still some out there that continue this past tradition which was made popular through the 19th and 20th centuries.  Children would knock on the door yelling "May basket!" and then run.  If the recipient caught the giver, he or she was entitled to a kiss.   Oh... the fun memories of childhood.

Sunday, May 14th will be our Mother's Day Breakfast served by the men.

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown
