 Blessings

May every moment of June be filled with joy.

*This little Sunday School chair is making another appearance. If you'll remember it was rescued from the church basement during the flood a few years back.

 The Stoning of Stephen

Leader: 54 When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this,
they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.

All: 55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to
heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right
hand of God.

Leader: 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of
Man standing at the right hand of God.”

All: 57 At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of
their voices, they all rushed at him,

Leader: 58 dragged him out of the city and began to stone him.
Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young
man named Saul.

All: 59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Leader: 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do
not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

Old churches must not simply stand as monuments to the past but as spiritual grandparents that have invested in the future by passing on their life to others and releasing their offspring to form new congregations. ~ unknown

I have a joy I wanted to share with you all.  Thursday evening our neighbor sent me this picture she had taken of our house with a rainbow over it.  I thanked her over and over for capturing it.  Isn't it just beautiful?!   It definitely filled my heart with joy! ~Mindy
